The Koda Cross Body Bag is the perfect size for any event. Sewing a crossbody bag with a front zipper pocket is a practical and stylish project that’s perfect for everyday use. I have shared some purse DIY tutorials before. To sew a Fabric zip pouch is not as complex as we imagine. If you’ve never worked with a zipper before, this will be a great project to learn on. Begin by selecting a sturdy fabric like canvas or denim for the outer shell and a lighter cotton or polyester for the lining. The front zipper pocket is designed to hold your phone, offering quick access while keeping it secure—simply sew a zipper into a small exterior panel and attach it to the front of the bag body. The main compartment features a top zipper closure, ensuring that the rest of your belongings are safe and easy to reach. Add a long adjustable strap for comfortable, hands-free wear. With careful cutting, structured interfacing, and neat stitching, this bag offers both form and function in a sleek, modern design. The pattern is for vinyl/cork or leather exterior and décor weight fabric lining. No interfacing is needed. If you want to do the bag in cotton then you will need to add interfacing, fleece or foam where needed. Approx. 9 1/2″ H by 10″ W with a front zipper pocket for your phone. A top zipper closure keeps the rest of your possessions safe and easy to access.
