When the temperature is going up, and time to get ready for dress season, this Fabric Paris Skirt is a child’s size skirt. It is a flat front skirt with an elastic back and pleats at the hemline. I have featured some skirts sewing pattern, this one is easy for beginners to start with basic cutting and seaming skills. This tutorial was made for a child’s size skirt. If making an adult skirt you may want to reduce the amount of fabric in the back panel if you find it is bulky. I haven’t made this particular skirt for me (yet) but I have made a number of standard full elastic waisted skirts and tend to use about 1.75 x waist measurement as a guide. You can vary the width of the waistband thicker, thinner. This was definitely a work of love as it is a size 3.
